Full Fibre Digital Connectivity for North Wales will showcase the impressive social and economic benefits that full fibre connectivity can deliver to North Wales. The informative day of events features presentations, case studies, speeches, workshops, information on funding, networking opportunities & more.

We will welcome over 200 delegates to the event, including DBF members, local private business representatives, local and national government, key telecommunication organisations, all six North Wales local authorities, and representatives from public sector organisations, including the NHS, schools and higher education. Workshops are tailored to suit all levels of understanding, from entry-level to technical specialist understanding of the technologies surrounding fibre networks.

The UK’s fibre optic infrastructure is drastically and embarrassingly far behind that of many European nations such as Romania, Bulgaria and Sweden. North Wales now has the unique opportunity to implement Gigabit speed full-fibre broadband connectivity across the region, from private businesses, to public sector organisations, to domestic households.

This marks the first UK-based fibre connectivity conference organised exclusively to advance the knowledge of attendees on the socio-economic benefits of full fibre broadband in North Wales. The event further coincides with application for funding critical to achieving digital connectivity for the area via the North Wales Growth Deal and the UK Government LFFN (Local Full Fibre Networks) funds.

Our ongoing campaign promotes the significant impact in recognising North Wales as an especially attractive location for business growth and investment, as part of our long-term vision to accredit it as the most digitally connected region in the United Kingdom.
